Justin + Meagan

All weddings are special, and it's always an honor to be chosen to photograph someones big day. But this wedding was EXTRA special to my family because it was some of our best friends! Zach, Raynee, and I got to play a big part in their big day starting with the proposal. Meagan sent me lots of Pinterest ideas and it was clear that she loved candles and lights. We knew she would be hard to surprise because she's so smart, so we just made the whole day a series of surprises. She started off the day with flowers and a note and gift card that would lead her to her favorite nail salon. Then she got another note at the nail salon to go get a new outfit from maddie bea with another gift card. Then she received another note sending her home to get ready for a night she will always remember. Ashley and I had a girls dinner with her and blindfolded her until we got to the spot where Justin would propose.

Next came the engagement pictures! We chased the sun around looking for the perfect lighting!

And finally the wedding day! Growing up, I've always loved hair and makeup. I passionately wanted to be a hair dresser, but my Mom persuaded me to get a college degree and my passion for hair changed into a passion for many crafts, but especially photography. But on Meagan's wedding day, I got to live up my childhood dream and had the honor of doing the bride's hair and makeup for her wedding day.

Justin and Meagan's wedding was a small family wedding and they chose to not have a bridal party. But Raynee had her heart set on being the flower girl and even picked out a dress for herself in case they let her. Of course Meagan did graciously let her be the "unofficial flower girl" and Raynee stayed by her side the whole day like she was born for that role. She even wore the dress she wore at my wedding, which was special to see her in again! After getting ready, we took all the family pictures. This day wouldn't be the same without these sisters! These girls took Raynee under their wing and made her feel so comfortable.

The ceremony location was beautiful! This arbor was the arbor Zach built me for our wedding. They also had the pews from my church's old sanctuary. The sun was setting perfectly and created a beautiful glow over their ceremony! And doesn't Justin look happy to see his bride!

During their ceremony, they tied the ropes to symbolize the relationship between themselves and God.

And finally they are husband and wife!!

Meagan's daddy let us use his awesome truck to carry Meagan to the ceremony, and of course for pictures!

The backdrop to their ceremony was the beautiful hay field! I definitely had to take advantage of it!

After we finished pictures we had a reception with all of Justin and Meagan's closest family and friends! We danced the night away and it was the perfect finish to a beautiful wedding day!

Congrats to my besties, Justin and Meagan!!
